If any two orbits, whether spherical, elliptical, or parabolic are projected onto the celestial sphere, it is inevitable that they must intersect at two points. For near spherical orbits, these points are referred to as "nodes," and when one of the orbits is the earth's, the node at which the other object passes from the southern hemisphere into the northern hemisphere is called the "ascending node."
So it is inevitable that the orbits of comets Hyakutake and Hale-Bopp
when projected in celestial coordinates would cross each other at two places.
What is not at all likely is that the intersection point would also occur
on the same
day one year apart!! Nor is it likely that this intersection
point would occur very close to the brightest variable star known to the
ancients which has great mythological significance! On his web page ...

When John Hinckley shot President Reagan on March 30, 1981 the planets Jupiter and Saturn were in conjunction with each other and at opposition to the sun. This is a configuration that happens every twenty years, in the same years of the inaugurations of the U.S. presidents who died in office!
When Jupiter and Saturn cojoin in this way, it can be considered a single, double, or triple conjunction. In 1981 it was triple! On the other dates, two other world leaders were shot: the Pope on May 13th, and Anwar Sadat on October 6th. For over a hundred years, a U.S. president had died or been assassinated in office- why didn't Reagan die?! On March 13th, 1982, less than a year after Reagan was shot, there was supposedly a super conjunction of the planets on one side of the sun that was supposed to have devastating consequences for the earth. When the day came and went with no major disasters, most people laughed it off and went on with their lives. But what the media and the scientific community didn't tell you is that something DID happen in the days and weeks that followed, and we are feeling the consequences now!
Not only do the comets of Hyakutake and Hale-Bopp intersect at the same point in space exactly one year apart, but they also originated from the same point in space, roughly in the direction of the constellation Sagittarius, towards the center of the Milky Way galaxy. Is it a coincidence that the planets Uranus and Neptune have been in conjunction with each other in that general region of the zodiac since 1993? And that the "super-conjunction of 1982" also took place on that side of the sun?
What was significant about the "Jupiter Effect" is NOT that on one day
the "average" distance of the planets as distributed in their orbits reached
a minimum angle of less than sixty degrees. The real significance is that
within the three months that followed, all of the major planets had conjunctions
with EACH OTHER in combinations of three or
four. Having this many exact alignments of the massive superior planets
all concentrated in a relatively short period of time in a relatively small
sector of the sky perturbed the Oort cloud and is now sending a rain of
comets down into the inner solar system. Hyakutake and Hale-Bopp are just
the beginning! Hyakutake was a precursor of Hale-Bopp and even greater
things to come around the time of the millennium!
Will NOT take place on May 5, 2000! There is in fact another gathering of planets that will take place in the year 2000, but the date May 5th is insignificant. Some people claim that on that date the planets will be gathered at the minimum angle, but this occurs on the opposite side of the sun from the earth's position at that time. But what is significant is that similar to 1982, even though the earth is not involved, the other planets have a series of close conjunctions with each other on the far side of the sun. From April through June 2000, there will be a series of close conjunctions viewed from earth as well, but many of these will be difficult to observe in the solar glare.

The last and best solar eclipse of the 20th century (there is none in 2000) is an event that most Europeans have been waiting some 38 years for. Except for the 1990 eclipse in Finland, not since 1961 has the Moon's shadow touched the Continent. The path begins in the North Atlantic 300 kilometers south of Nova Scotia and quickly traverses the ocean. Southern England enjoys first landfall in Cornwall and parts of Devon. Passing 20 km north of Paris, the City of Lights will be darkened by an eclipse of magnitude 0.994. Southernmost Belgium and Luxembourg also lie in the path, which continues into Germany. Stuttgart, just north of the centerline, enjoys a total eclipse of 2 minutes 17 seconds. The nearly 2 million citizens of Munich will also witness more than 2 minutes of totality, provided the winds of good fortune bring clear skies on eclipse day. Traveling through central Austria and Hungary, the shadow narrowly misses Vienna and Budapest. But Bucharest, Romania, stands squarely on the centerline just as the total eclipse reaches its greatest duration of 2 minutes 23 seconds. (53K gif) The path of totality for the August 11, 1999, solar eclipse will cut through the heart of central Europe, where millions of people will be well placed to view the event.

When the photos of the Eagle Nebula taken by the Hubble Space Telescope
were first shown on CNN on November 3rd, 1995, their phone lines lit up
with people claiming to have seen the face of Jesus in the star cloud!

Various news sources and astronomy reference guides list the distance of the Eagle Nebula as anywhere from 7,000 to 10,000 light years. Thus the light that we are seeing now left the nebula at least 7,000 years ago. This is the same range of ages attributed to the Sphinx in Eqypt! Thus we see the nebula as it actually was when the Sphinx was being built! Is the image in the nebula a sign left for us by the same advanced race of superbeings who built the Sphinx and created Egyptian civilization?

This is a preliminary attempt at a 3-dimensional "stereogram" similar to the "Magic Eye" posters you see at the mall. Try this experiment: place your face up close to the screen so you are at a distance at which you can no longer focus on the screen. Close your eyes and pretend you are looking at something very far away. When you open your eyes, the images should have merged but will not be in focus. Keep your attention on the image of the star that is in the middle of the diagram. Slowly back up without changing the orientation of your eyes until you are able to focus on one of the central stars. If this worked, you should be able to see the images in 3-dimensonal form.
When the image is viewed in this way, it is possible to see three faces in this section of the star cloud!! One is the "traditional western Jesus"that I was first able to construct from head to toe. In the lower section is another face of a serious Jesus looking concerned. And in the top half of the image, under the hand of Jesus with the finger pointing towards you, is an image that several people pointed out as the FACE ON MARS!!
