This the most important picture you will ever see!

The following image was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope of a section of the Eagle Nebula (M16) in Saggitarius.

The next photo was downloaded from the NASA Web Site (Space Telescope Science Institute).

It is a magnified section of the star forming region at the top of the left pillar in the other image, and has not been retouched in any way, other than to rotate the picture 90 degrees counterclockwise.

When this photo was shown on CNN on Thursday November 2 1995, the phone lines lit up with hundreds of people claiming to see a face in the star cloud.

I looked at the photo for three days but couldn't see the face until I found out that CNN was running a photo on their web page showing where the face was located. Can you see it?

Immediately above this sentence you should see two versions of the same image with the "face" circled. The image on the left is being downloaded directly from the CNN Technology page. The other is saved on this server. If only one image is appearing above, then CNN has probably deleted the article or their server is busy. In that case, you can access a saved copy of the original article by clicking here ==> ( hubble.html ).

The photo above has the face circled. When you can find the face in the larger photo below, you are ready to proceed to the next screen...
