MY RX7
|
My RX-7 was bought new by my father in
1987. He had been looking for a sports car that was truly a sports car,
but didn't want to spend a lot of money. I secretly wanted him to buy
an RX-7, and even called Mazda and had them send him a sales brochure.
When the time came for him to sell it, I jumped at the chance. He
is known for over-maintaining his cars, and he had garaged kept it -- it
was an almost perfect replacement for a dearly departed Datsun 240Z that
I had to get rid of because I was in school. I got this GXL from him in
great condition with about 60,000 miles on it.
Since then, I've added 100K miles to the car, which now has under
164,000 miles. I've driven it very gently, and tried to take good care
of it as possible, but we are a three car family again, and we only
have a two-car garage (but the RX-7 gets one of the spaces!)
This car is a blast to drive, and suprisingly practical.
