04-25-02:
For those of you who do not know yet, I
am on co-op right now. I am working for a company called
Jumping Jack Web. Work is good, but I wish I had an income
I could depend on.
I am no longer Law and Policy Officer for
the MCS Society. Ever Since the new election everything
has gone to hell. At least something is happening as
opposed to nothing.
I have been playing the Lord of the Rings
trading card game with my friends recently. It is alright, although
I need some practice.
Other than that I have been spending most
of my time with work. I am moving into a new place sometime
around the 3rd week of June. I will be homeless for 2-3
weeks, which kinda sucks, but it is worth it to get out of the dormatories. The
place is a 7 room town house and it will be newly renovated when
we move in. It is going to rule!
I have once again changed the website's
look. Now it has some form to it. I like it
but it still needs some more work.

03-13-02:
Well it is the end of the semester. It
has been quite a while since I have even looked at my website. I
should have time to mess around with it while on Co-op. I
have one more final tomorrow and then I am heading home for the
weekend, and hopefully the spring break. I still haven't
gotten a Co-op job as of now, however there is still one company
which I am pretty confident I will get a job with, Health Products
Research. If it does not work out I will be doing my
Co-op for Jumping Jack Web.
I have been told that I am "a link
monkey!" So...instead of instant messaging everyone
I know with links whenever I find a cool site, I am going to put
my weekly links on the LINKS
page.
Good luck on your finals, See you next term

11-18-01:
This morning was the famous Leonid Meteor
Shower. It was amazing! We went to Valley
Forge to watch it, and it was quite an adventure. We
found our way easily and quickly discovered that we were not the
only ones with the idea to come to VF. We eventually
found a field in the middle of nowhere and decided to pull the car
over and start hiking. We laid down our blankets and
pulled out our star charts. Once we were confident about
the lay out of the stars we just sat back and watched the display. There
were bright ones, dim ones, and even one or two that seemed to EXPLODE
in a briliant flash of light. After getting comfortable
with our blanket, which was way too small for 5 people, we found
ourselves in a bit of a fix. A Policeman had parked his
car in back of ours and had his lights flashing. Rob
and I quickly ran to the car to ensure that our ride would still
be there when we returned. The nice officer pointed
us in the direction of a parking lot about a quarter of a mile down
the road. With a bit of Marco- Polo, Rob and I found
our way back to our spot without much trouble. We spent
the rest of the morning trying to keep our poor feet warm, and singing
songs. It was a wonderful experience. Around
5:45 Lisa said "There is a dark figure over there! And
it is getting closer." Sure enough, there was a
large dark figure which seemed to be not too far away. Rob
scrambled to find something to use as a weapon and we two brave
men ventured forth into the dark to confront whatever had entered
into our domain. As we got closer to the figure we could
make out a tall man with something standing in front of him. "Hello?"
we said. "Hello" replied the dark figure. "What's
up" we asked. The dark figure responded by telling
us that he was using a camera with a shutter control to try and
capture some pictures of the meteor shower. We checked
out his set-up for a few seconds; shared in a glance towards the
sky and then headed back to the others. The frequency
of the shooting stars began to drop, and so did the temperature
of our feet. So, Rob and I began the hike back to the
car, while the others waited by the road. Once back to
the car, he and I quickly found out that the entrance to the parking
lot was One Way. We were forced to drive away from our waiting companions,
and we quickly became lost in the maze that is Valley Forge. As
we exited the park Rob exclaimed "I told you to go left!" and "I
still can't feel my feet dude!" So, I turned around.
Then came the ring of Rob's phone. The girls, who had
been waiting on the side of the road for us, were beginning to worry
about where their ride had disappeared to. "Fucking turn
here!" exclaimed Rob, so I did. With that we were soon
reunited with our companions. The meteor shower was
not as amazing as the media had made it sound, with far less than
"70 meteors a minute", though it was still a wonderful sight. It
was the type of bonding that every nerd should experience. After
this morning we could handle an excursion to the Artice circle,
or maybe even Mars!
For those of you who missed the shower altogether
you can check out spaceweather.com,
there ought to be many wonderful pictures there. For
those of you who joined us for this little adventure, I am planning
on heading back soon to watch the ISS and other interesting satellites.

| Old news: On Sunday November 18th
starting around 4am there will be an amazing meteor shower. This
type of meteor shower is very rare and will not happen again untill
sometime around 2099. I have created a page with directions
to a nice "Dark Site" about thirty minutes from Philadelphia
along with some links to helpful sites about the shower. Click
on the link "LEONIDS" to the left for more information. |
