Mixed Teams of both SE and CS students

A team composed of students of both CS and SE students will follow the coursework of the department with the most students in the group, attend the classes of that department, and be advised by that department. However, CS students must register for the CS class and SE students must register for the SE class. All students on mixed teams must contact the instructor for the course in which they are registered either by attending the first class meeting or by setting up a meeting outside of class time.

If a mixed team is advised by iSchool faculty the course instructor will send the final grade of every CS member of the team to the CS senior design coordinator. All deliverables will be turned into the iSchool faculty memeber.

If a mixed team is advised by CS-faculty, the team will follow the CS senior design course. For each SE-member of that team the CS senior design coordinator will send the grades for all the deliverables to the instructor of the SE senior design course. In addition, the instructor of the SE senior design course requires that you keep him apprised of the progress and send him your deliverables as well.

Mixed teams may participate in the CS Final Four Competition.

If a CS department advised mixed team wants to participate in the CS Final Four competition, there is nothing they must do differently as it is part of the sylabus of the CS courses.

If an iSchool-advised mixed team wants to participate in the CS Final Four Competition, the CS Final Presentations committee will attend the final presentation that the team gives as part of their SE senior design course. If needed, the team will be given additional time to make sure that the presentation is such that the CS final presentation evaluation form can be applied in a meaningful way.
