Grants and Research
The CS4All grant will be wrapping up this year and I anticipate stepping away from federally funded grants to focus on the curriculum work of strengthening the core courses, the freshman experience and the switch to semesters.
- 2024-Present - CS4All RPP Grant no cost extension year.
- 2023/2024 - CS4All RPP - Co-PI on a full grant to implement the previous planning grant on a larger scale.
- 2020 - GenCyber Grant - submitted grant to support a summer camp for high school juniors and seniors to learn about Cybersecurity, was not funded.
- 2020/2024 - CyberCorp - Co-PI on funded grant to provide scholarship for service to an annual cohort of pre-juniors in Cybersecurity major or CS major with a minor in Security.
- 2020/2023 - CS4All RPP - Co-PI on funded planning grant to develop a researcher/practitioner partnership with the School District of Philadelphia to enhance their efforts to provide equatable computer science education at the secondary level in all school buildings
- 2020 - C-CURES: Envisioning Conscientious Computing for Ubiquitous Responsible Stewardship (as Co-PI) was not funded. The Ethics case studies were integrated into CI101 regardless.
- 2019 - Project CLASS: Student Leadership in Computing Across STEM (as Co-PI) was not funded.
- 2019 - Computer Science Teacher Prep for 7-12 (as PI) was not funded via PASmart
- 2019 - PAsmart: Advancing Computer Science Pathways II as a sub contract with the School District of Philadelphia. Provides graduate course and PD for SDP secondary teachers who are currently teaching CS
- 2019 - Project CC2CCI: Transition from Community College to Computing And Informatics at the University Level (as Co-PI) was not funded.
- 2018 - PAsmart: Advancing Computer Science Pathways I as a sub contract with the School District of Philadelphia. Provides graduate course and PD for SDP secondary teachers who are currently teaching CS
